Initially, religion was a tool to be utilised in spiritual development. In the procedure of creating a totally materialistic paradigm for what’s real, faith was removed from the domain of the metaphysical into the realm of the physical (material). The unfortunate result of this act was that faith was no longer utilized to achieve a spiritual connection to God. Religious worship was changed into an understanding based on emotional, intellectual, and physical senses. Salvation was to be found in a belief in a publication, a construction, and finally in a former living being known as a savior.

The above mentioned dictionary definitions must describe for us that there’s a difference between religion and spirituality. The main distinction is that religion is completely outside, while spirituality is totally internal. What stands out most is that the religious person is a”believer”, although the religious person is attempting to become a”knower”. What’s the difference? The believer’s thoughts and attitudes are formed by external stimulation; while the knower goes through an internal process of understanding truth. The believer can not deal with abstract theories, he/she can’t get pass the definitions or labels of a thing.

The knower attempts to go through the fact of a thing, thereby knowing it. We’re all spirits or souls residing in a physical body. However, as long as one’s consciousness is in control, the soul is simply an failed part of our body. Provided that we’re consumed by the substance, as long as we are continuously trying to fulfill the nonstop request of their physical, nothing spiritual will take place in our lives. Irrespective of how much dogma or church one gets, unless one learns to go inside, the spiritual part of the being will stay dormant.
